In the Division 2, District 41 semi-final at Coopersville, the Spring Lake Lakers could not hang on to their 2-0 lead as the West Catholic Falcons rallied for a 3-2 walk off victory. Spring Lake got on the board right away in the top of the first, when Gabe Trask led off the game with a single, Jaden Core laid down a bunt and the Falcons threw to second base attempting to get Trask who beat the throw. Oliver Smies followed with an RBI single scoring Trask and Core advanced to third base. Max Feltner hit into a 6-4-3 double play scoring Core and that was the last run the Lakers would score. As a matter of fact, West Catholic pitching would retire 15 of the last 17 batters they faced the rest of the way. Core had a single in the 6th and Owen Smies walked in the 7th. West Catholic scored an unearned run in the bottom of the 6th and two runs in the bottom of the seventh for the walk off win ending Spring Lakes season at 30 wins and 4 losses.
