Fruitport Varsity Trojans jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Kya Tawney singled, scoring two runs, Kendall Lee doubled, scoring one run, and Kalli Tawney drew a walk, scoring one run. A single by Brooklyn Russell, a ground out by Madyson Prout, and a single by Lee helped Fruitport Varsity Trojans extend their early lead in the second. Fruitport Varsity Trojans added one run in the third. Russell doubled to center field, making the score 9-1. Khloe Courtade earned the win for Fruitport Varsity Trojans. The hurler gave up one hit and three runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking five. Abby Geyer took the loss for Spring Lake Varsity Lakers. The righty went five innings, surrendering 15 runs (12 earned) on 12 hits, striking out three and walking four. Tessa Britt led Spring Lake Varsity Lakers with one run batted in.
