Junior Varsity vs ZEELAND EAST HIGH SCHOOL The Spring Lake boys JV battled hard but fell short in their game with Zeeland East by a score of 57-47. The Lakers were down by 10 twice and both times cut the deficit to 4 points, but could not get any closer than that. John Westhoff had a strong game and just missed a double double with 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists. Jaxson Stegeman was instrumental in helping to break the full court press and also had 7 points. Dominic Wrona was the steals leader for the Lakers with 3 and did an excellent job with defensive pressure. Peter May did a good job running the offense and had 12 assists. Brock Nicles, Eli McCamant, and Cullen Marine all made excellent contributions coming in off the bench. Spring Lake is now 4-13 on the season and 1-6 in conference play.
