The visiting Spring Lake Lakers took game one of the doubleheader against rival Fruitport with a 2-1 victory. Will May's two-run double in the top of the fourth was the difference in the game. Oliver Smies had two hits for the Lakes. Zane Stahl (5-2) got the win pitching six scoreless innings striking out 11 and surrendering 3 hits. Oliver Smies worked the seventh getting the save.
