The Spring Lake Lakers dropped the third game of the series vs the Unity Christian Crusaders, 13-9. In uncharacteristic fashion, the Lakes gave up 9 runs the 5th inning and could not stop the Unity Christian momentum. Struggling pitching, defensive miscues and a grand slam gave the Crusaders a 13-4 lead and that was enough. Spring Lake battled back, but the deficit was just too big to overcome. Rian Bates hit a three run homer in the first inning giving the Lakers an early 4-2 lead. Noah Sanders finished with three hits, while Mason Troyer and Owen Smies each had two hits.
