Varsity vs HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL (47 - 28) Win Spring Lake Controls From Start to Finish in Road Win at Hamilton The Spring Lake Lakers continued their strong conference play on Friday night, earning a decisive 48–28 victory on the road against Hamilton. From the opening tip, the Lakers dictated the pace and physicality of the game, striking early with a 15–4 first‑quarter lead and building that advantage to 28–14 by halftime. Spring Lake controlled the interior throughout the night, dominating points in the paint, winning the rebounding battle, and moving the ball with patience and precision. Their balanced, disciplined approach allowed them to create high‑percentage opportunities while limiting Hamilton's chances on the other end. Post standout Alex Botbyl powered the Lakers offensively, leading all scorers with 17 points as she consistently created advantages inside. Kloe George added 13 more, giving Spring Lake a reliable one‑two punch that Hamilton struggled to contain.Coach Cori Geoghan praised her team’s togetherness and resolve: “Another solid team win. I love how this team is competing, playing with toughness and togetherness. Proud of how they compete and play for each other.” With the win, the Lakers carry momentum into next week’s schedule as they travel to Hudsonville Unity Christian before returning home on Friday for Senior Night against Zeeland West.
